The soil of a forest, a garden or an orchard is a biotope which houses a biocoenosis, consisting of a variety of animal species, mainly invertebrates, which can be dealt with easily. The biocenosis is formed mainly by microorganisms (bacteria, algae, fungi, and protozoa), the microfauna, and some macrofauna group, as it is the case of earthworms.
